An engaging wine with aromas of cherry. Raspberries and prunes fill the nose and overflow to the palate. The palate is medium bodied with a smooth textural finish and a hint of violet.
The cool maritime climate of Mt. Compass on the Fleurieu Peninsula and the glacial sands over limestone provide an ideal terroir for Pinot Noir.
Carefully tended and handpicked, this Pinot Noir will go well with highly flavoured Mediterranean dishes such as pizza and pasta but also matches grilled meaty fish such as salmon & tuna and is perfect with roast duck.

Grown on a vertically shoot positioned trellis with a north-west aspect, 300m above sea level in glacial sands over ironstone. Hand picked March 2012 at 13.4 baumé.
Basket pressed and matured in French oak barriques for 18 months by James Hastwell.
This wine will develop complexity with age. Good drinking between 2-8 years.
